Randomness

Is the title even a real word?
Did Adam and Eve have belly Buttons?
Why do churches that have different models and focus on different groups of people fight so much? Isn't the most important thing Jesus?
Are the Atlanta Braves going to make the playoffs this year?
Two weeks away from 3 fantasy baseball drafts that I play in. Can't wait.
I hope Josh Anderson wins the starting CF job for the Braves. Got him on the cheap for my NL League.
Provided I don't do anything stupid in one of my AL Leagues, I should contend for the league Title.
How come other peoples blogs are better than mine? (I blame you Jack)
If I blog enough about the Braves, Falcons, and Bulldogs will I qualify for a press pass?
Why do I like Dale Jr. so much?
Diet Mountain Dew Rocks!!!

New Things

We tried a new church yesterday. I have been a member of only two churches in my life, one for twenty years, and the one we just left three years. We did not leave because of a problem with the pastor, bad teaching, poor dogma, disagreement over doctrine, or problems over worship style. We left because it was too far from home. I will miss the friends we met and will lose touch with over time although we are committed to try and keep these relationships going. I think I grew more mature as a believer through this church.
We tried a newer church on Sunday that has only been around for around three years. It used to meet in a movie theater and now meets at the new Cherokee County Civic Center. It had a great band leading worship and a powerful message on sharing your faith. The lead pastor did not go to seminary and when he mentioned this during his message I admit it; I cringed a little. Then he shared the story of Paul. When Paul had his incredible conversion he immediately started preaching for Jesus. He did not go and pray about it. He just started preaching. If it was good enough for Paul, it is good enough for me. Which begs this question; why do we put requirements on people doing kingdom work?
Time will tell if this church is where God wants us. If He wants us there we will get plugged in and meet new friends, if not then I guess we will keep looking...

Ever think about this?

Why is it always someone elses fault? When did we stop taking responsibilities for our own actions? You are seeing more of this everyday. Just watch TV or listen when you are out in public. Just yesterday I was trying to handle a situation at work. The person I was talking to was not listening. All this person could do was scream that it wasn't their fault. This individual could not understand that they were getting reprimanded not because of the initial situation but their reaction to the situation. If this person would have listened and owned up to the mistake, yes a simple mistake, rather than losing their mind and blaming that everyone was out to get them they would still be employed. When did taking responsibility become a bad idea?
